Reentry Wheels: A Full Brand and Webflow System for a Reentry Nonprofit Startup

Project overview

Reentry Wheels is a Los Angeles nonprofit that helps people returning home from incarceration get reliable transportation so they can reach work, family, and a stable life. Founder Jason Holland came to Graceful Web Studio as a brand-new startup with a small grant and a clear mission, but no brand and no website. We built him the full system: a new logo with a complete file package, brand colors and a short style guide, and an accessible seven-page Webflow website with donations built in, all designed to fit a tight startup budget.

How Reentry Wheels found Graceful Web Studio

Jason and I were connected through Defy Ventures, an organization that works with people who are currently and formerly incarcerated. He had just received a small grant to get his nonprofit off the ground, with a strict budget split across logo, branding, and website. He needed a partner who could deliver all three without wasting a dollar.

The challenge: a mission with no brand and a tight budget

A nonprofit cannot raise money or reach the people it serves without a clear identity and a place to send them. Reentry Wheels had neither. There was no logo, no brand, and no website, and the grant that funded the work had to cover all of it. The site also had to do two jobs at once: bring in the people who qualify for the program, and bring in the donors who make the program possible.

The solution: a complete brand and website system

I built Jason a full system designed to fit his budget exactly.

A brand and logo built to last

We started with a brand-new logo, delivered in a complete package of file formats so Jason has the right version for every use, from the website to print to social. I built out brand colors and styling that carry straight into the website, and a short style guide so everything stays consistent as the organization grows.

A focused seven-page website

I designed and developed a seven-page Webflow site built around a clear user journey. A high-converting home page tells the Reentry Wheels story and makes the mission immediate. An about page continues that story and builds trust. The structure keeps both audiences, people seeking help and people ready to give, moving toward the right next step.

A program page that screens and enrolls

The program page does real work. It explains exactly who qualifies, who does not, and how the program works, then lets a qualified applicant apply through an application form built right into the website. No separate portal, and no friction.

Donations made simple with Givebutter

The donate page makes giving easy. I embedded a secure Givebutter donation tool directly on the page, so supporters can give right on the website without being sent elsewhere. Givebutter was free for Jason to set up and run, which mattered for a nonprofit watching every dollar.

Accessible and built for search

The entire site was built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and structured for search, so it reaches the widest possible audience, including people using assistive technology, and can be found by the families and donors looking for it.

A system built to run now and grow later

Reentry Wheels did not sign on for ongoing maintenance, and for a startup on a grant, that was the right call. What Jason walked away with was a complete, ready-to-run system: a brand, a website, an application pipeline, and a donation platform, all working together. It is built to operate as is until he has donors aligned with his mission, and ready to grow with him when the time comes. For a new nonprofit, that is exactly the right starting point.

Why this project matters

Reentry Wheels is proof that a mission-driven startup does not have to choose between a real brand and a working website. With a clear plan and a careful budget, Jason got both.
